As for choosing between USB and Bluetooth, you seem to be a little confused. USB works in Mac OS X just fine with Bluetooth enabled, but with USB Legacy Support off it just means that you won't be able to boot from an external USB drive. That's all that feature enables/disables. http://osx.mechdrew.com - News and Guides for Installing Mac OS X via NetbookInstaller - Now on Twitter | |

There was a frustrating phase after updating to 10.5.8 where, no matter what I did, the mini wouldn't wake from sleep at all. Installed the battery fix, sleep fix for the standard issue STEC and BT mod, re-ran DellEFI to replace system specific dsdt.aml and tried again. This time it sometimes slept and sometimes didn't. Put up with it for a while. Needed to install some fresh software so ran monolingual to remove language and processor bloat then disk utility to repair permissions. Sleep now works... I have to wait for bluetooth to come up and a little longer for wifi to come up - never longer than 30 seconds. But sleep is more or less reliable whether I'm running on battery or mains power, tapping the power button or opening and closing the lid, or whether or not the screen saver is running. I suspect something got put right when I ran disk utility. Have backed up (cloned) again! But currently I'm a happy bunny. Oh aye, nearly forgot, I've enabled remote cd... but I haven't a clue if this affects the sleep thing MacBook Pro (Late 2007) | OSX 10.6.4 |

Problem is, many users have reported that turning off USB legacy support is NOT a 100% fix, it "helps" the situation but isn't a definitive fix. Anyone else here wondering when, if ever, we'll be able to expect a truly working sleep and BT-enabled environment? Thanks, and BTW I have donated to this project as I am now the proud owner of 3 of these gems (1 for the wife and my son was the latest to receive his "baby") . OSx on these is really quite addictive, I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I am! LOL |

I don't know how it fares on the Mini 10v, but make sure if you are on a Mini 9 that Wake is disabled. So: Bluetooth: USB BIOS Legacy Support, Wake from Sleep - Both Disabled No Bluetooth: USB BIOS Legacy Support - Enabled, Wake from Sleep - Disabled http://osx.mechdrew.com - News and Guides for Installing Mac OS X via NetbookInstaller - Now on Twitter |
