I noticed that mini 9 gets very hot when I attach the power adapter. It doesn't get hot when it runs on battery. Anybody the same?

My 10v doesn't get too hot on the exterior shell. On the other hand, the VGA port is always burning hot...

i have been noticing that my mini9 (osx) gets very hot, as well. not warm, but hot...after 30 min of use or so. ordered a nice cooling pad from amazon, though: - CHOIIX Mini Air-Through Notebook Cooling Pad with USB Hub Model C-HL02-WP - Laptop Accessories

i'll post when i try it out. would be nice to not have it get hot in the first place, but...

Update on my mini 9. I also bought a aluminum pad with fan. Use CoolBookController app and it stays at 39-43C. But when I leave the mini 9 on for a while for meetings, coffee break, etc, it is switched off when I come back... Donno if it halted or system shut down itself. Anyone know how to log system activity or track what happened?

The event log in your Utilities folder should have record of the shutdown if OSX preformed it (clean shutdown). If the bios killed the system, I don't think anything will appear in the event log about shutdown.
