Cool Boot and install from and onto a external HDD? - 04-16-2009, 11:31 AM

Is it possible to boot and install from a external HDD, after it has been partitioned? Into 3 drives? 1 for Syslinux, one for the install disc, and one to install off?

Yes it's possible. I've done it on one Mini install. Make sure USB legacy mode is enabled in the BIOS. I think someone said you also need to have Chameleon bootloader as well on the external.

Do a search for "boot from external" I made an exact thread just like yours and got a couple of responses.
