2. Does this need to be just an 8GB USB key, or a 16GB USB key? OSX installer fits on an 8GB. 3. When you run DellEFIBootMaker (I did 0.3.3) it doesn't report any status windows, just runs and quits quietly, correct? I took an 8GB Corsair USB key, ran Disk Utility and partitioned it as a single Extended (Journaled) named OSXDVD with an MBR. I then did a Restore of my OSX 10.5.0 DVD to this partition. Then I ran the DellEFIBootMaker. I ejected the USB key and tried to boot it on the Mini9. I hit 0 for boot options, picked the USB, but it says No Operating System found. Any clues on what I did wrong or still need to do to make the USB key bootable? Last question: Any hints on how to setup for a dual booting OSX and XP setup using DellEFIBootMaker? I just made a OSXDVD USB stick & tested it out on my mini 9, so I can send this to her rather than have her send the computer back to me for reinstall. Not being able to make a DellEFI boot USB stick was a real problem since I don't have access to a PC & trying to make one using XP in Parallels never worked. |

Yours worked on the first try and all i had to do is put my mac os usb stick in the computer and click on one button. Thank you. |

I had problems with older versions of 10.5 make use you download or get you hands on 10.5.6. I found one on the net. Also on the USB key, I also have the 8GB Corsair USB key I made a 1 partition GUID Partition Table with (Journaled) and the name OSXDVD and everything worked on the first try. | ||
