Post SilverLight thinks it's PowerPC and stops installation! - 04-05-2009, 10:49 AM

Hi all, my first post on the MyDellMini forums.

I have my little Dell Mini 9 Inspiron and it works perfectly fine after installation of OSX via DellEFI method. I am happy with bluetooth, wireless, sleep, battery indicator, sound, webcam and whatnot. I just recently tried to watch a little movie on the web ( but it says I have to install the SilverLight plugin from MS.

I clicked thinking it might be needed in future and tried to install the dmg but it says at the very start it will not continue because my machine is PowerPC. Now that sucks! Microsoft pissed me off many times before but they have pretty decent maps and they also require SilverLight plugin.

Do you have any ideas how to overcome this problem or is it already adressed in the new DellEFI version?
