Default Unable to pair Apple Wireless Keyboard - 03-30-2009, 04:52 PM

Ok everything was working fine until I did a BIOS update. I didn't unpair the mighty mouse and keyboard before upgrading to BIOS A05 which I should have done.

I was able to pair my mighty mouse but the keyboard won't work. When I try to pair my keyboard I get a pop up saying to enter the key. I typed 0000 and it fails to pair saying it could be due to the passphrase. I always leave it 0000 and if I by any chance changed it it would be the last 4 of my SSN.

I read the booklet with the keyboard and it doesn't help at all. I didn't try to pair it with another laptop yet but any ideas?

Try removing the keyboard from bluetooth preferences and re-running setup assistant to repair... when you run the assitant you enter the pin displayed on the screen on the keyboard.
