Hi - I just want to make sure this is correct. Every page I look at has different instructions on how to install OSX on the Dell Mini 9. As far as I can tell, I did this correct:
1. Format flash drive, 1gb with Fat, the rest of the GB's with Mac OS Extended (I have a 16gb drive so its fine)
2. I just made my OSX 10.5.6 disk into a dmg file, then went to Disk Utilities on my Mac and did a "restore" onto the OSX partition on my flash disk from the dmg file. Other people are using programs and stuff, not sure if they are doing the same thing just differently and more complicated?
3. Used the syslinux-3 program to copy over the file to my FAT partition, then opened the Type11 "Cdrom" and copied that over to the FAT partition on my flash drive, being careful not to overwrite that ilunux.sys or whatever it was.
4. Boot my Dell Mini 9 and do the rest of the instructions.
I was reading on one website that I had to type sudo mach kernal or something, and one page said to copy the actual DMG file onto the OSX partition. Didn't I just have to restore the dmg file onto the OSX partition and make the FAT bootable, and it should work just fine? It's odd because every website has different instructions.
