Default Boot fails after fresh install. - 03-27-2009, 10:15 PM

Hello, I'm using a 10.5.0 install dvd, dellminiboot123v8.01.iso, and I've used the 2 usb drives method to do it. Everything seemed to install correctly up to the last minute when it said it couldn't use the hd as startup disk. The instructions I was using didn't mention this. I found another one that said I could keep using the boot132 usb till I could get dellefi in line. So I did. I updated to the latest stuff across the board and then proceeded to try to use dellefi. I had put a copy of on my usb drive, but it just flat out didn't work at all. I got an unxpected quit dialog. So I hopped on the site and saw the first post was for so I just grabbed that and went for it. A reboot later and I get a "boot1: error" and nothing else. I can still boot into the install with the usb drive but a lot of the stuff doesn't work and I think the screen is funny looking.
