Thanks for the tip regarding the adjustment. When I tried adjusting it in the perf frame in system preferences at first - it would just stop responding after I made a few adjustmets.

After what you said. I then started with just getting the one finger adjustment the way I liked it. Then I went back and tried the two finger adjustment and it works but it is intermittent but it's still better then nothing.

I have go to say you guys did a great job.

Congrats - what a great job you've all done here - the NBI final for OS 10.6.2 is terrific..

My trackpad driver doesn't appear to let me switch the buttons. The right button is the selection button. The driver check box just doesn't stay checked.

Does anyone have a copy of the original ApplePS2Controller.kext from a macbook on SL 10.6.2 or can anyone upload a copy please?

I would like to experiment with the original trackpad vs the netbook installer drivers.

The only PS2 drivers that apple has made are from 10.4 if I remember correctly. You should be able to download the source code from their website.

You can also download DellEFI and extract the drivers, or you can download the original source code for the PS2 drivers from the DellEFI svn repository here: mydellmini - Project Hosting on Google Code

So I've read through most of the info on the trackpad and I wanted to make sure: Does the newest update of NBI (0.8.4 RC1) include the newest trackpad kext or should I go through the motions of applying what is posted on the first page?

The trackpad only allows button clicking after a restart, shutdown, return from sleep, but if I go into preferences and drag a slider or two, I gain scrolling, tapping, etc.

I realize this is an older thread, but it's quite relevant: is there a chance that this driver could be modified to include a switch that would toggle the trackpad control by 90 or 270 degrees? I find these netbooks are really handy for reading or surfing with a rotated display but the trackpad is just loony to handle in that orientation.

EEERotate does a great job under Windows, but there's nothing under OS X that does this (there was one, but the dev's thrown in the towel). Since people here have dabbled in this driver, maybe it's possible?

I have a suggestion in order to improve touchpad functionality. When using regular Apple laptops, one function I found very handy is to drag and drop files while using exposé. More precisely, one can drag a file, activate exposé, drag it on another window or the desktop, then deactivate exposé, and just drop it anywhere on this window which is now in the front. I often instinctively try to do that on my 10v, but when I hit the exposé button the file gets dropped.

I don't know if this function is brought by the touchpad driver, but if it is it would be cool if we could use it ! Of course this is just a suggestion, I'm not pushing you, especially with all the work you've already done, I'm just mentioning this in case you hadn't thought about it yourself and fancied the idea.
