I havent added the slider just yet, it'll be in the next version, but untill then, its time for a new kext.


Kext 16 changes
- Updated acceleration table (same as kext on page 52)
- Updated scaling algorithm to make the mouse movement smoother.
- trackpad resolution now takes into account the geometry to make it smoother
- Rewritten event transition algorithm so that dragging, tapping, and drag lock all work more or less correctly


Possibly Broken:
- New algorithm may cause regressions, please post them so I can fix them
- With drag lock enabled, you cannot double tap to send a double click event.
- Double click speed, post dragging release speed it not configurable yet.


Actually, yesterday I was testing out dragging, and found out that the macbook does not allow you to double tap when dragging is enabled. This kext has it enable, but if enough people want me to, I may make it configurable.

Hey guys, just wanted to post my results. I'm running Dell EFI 1.2a and OS X 10.5.7. I tried running the V16 installer and could not get it to work. No prefs pane, no original trackpad button in the keyboard and mouse prefs either. The uninstall also did not work, as I was still missing the prefs. Reinstalled Dell EFI 1.2a with success, original prefs returned. I then tried V15 and it is working like a champ so far. Just thought I'd share. Anyone else unsuccessful with EFI 1.2a and V16?

Try manually installing it and make sure the permissions are correct.
If manually installing it doesn't work, post again and I'll see if I can help.

OK I must be a moron b/c I can't seem to be able to get the driver to load. I downloaded the files. unzipped them. Ran the terminal commands, did the update extra button rebooted and...nothing new in my system prefs......

Did any error messages get printed out when you tried to install it?
Also, please run
kextstat | grep PS2
and post the output so that I can verify that the kext loaded and you are not using the old driver.
