I installed the latest version using kext helper and I'm use the left/right mouse together combo to enable the scrolling but for the life in me I can't get it to work.

The latest one only has side scrolling. The both buttons press does nothing (I'll re-enable a middle button press later on).
To use the side (edge) scrolling you just place your finger on the last (rightmost) 10% of the trackpad and start scrolling.

It doesn't seem to be working for me, should I try installing the file manually using this method:

1) Save ApplePS2Controller.kext.zip at your Desktop.
2) Extract the file by double clicking it.
3) Open terminal. Issue this command & enter:-
sudo -s
4) Supply your password when it ask you.
5) Copy ApplePS2Controller.kext to your Extensions folder (follow exactly):-
cp -R Desktop/ApplePS2Controller.kext /System/Library/Extensions/
6) Repair permissions (wait until it finish):-
diskutil repairPermissions /
7) Exit terminal & reboot your laptop.

Just do the following in the terminal (I'm assuming you downloaded it to ~/Downloads)

sudo cp -rf ~/Downloads/ApplePS2Controller.kext /Extra/Mini9Ext/

It'll ask for yout password. type it and hit enter
now type

open /Extra/UpdateExtra.app

A window will pop up. Click on the update extra button, type in your password and hit enter
Reboot and the new kext will be used.

To get back to the old one, use dellefi with the custom method to reinstall the extensions.

That worked perfectly, the scroll makes browsing web pages much more enjoyable. I don't know if it's possible to code in but when you doing something that doesn't have scroll bars it would be nice to use to full pad again to move the mouse around (eg when you're on the desktop etc).

Before I got my mini I watched a few os x tip videos on youtube, thus I found out that you can hold down shift and that will turn the vertical scroll into a horizontal scroll, this is probably common knowledge to the usual mac users here but I thought I'd mention it in case there are any first time mac users here besides me.

Thank you, meklort. It's very promising! The side scroll works fine and the two button push works fine as well.

Just... a horizontal pointer movement is much slower than a vertical movement.
Also, It would be great if the side scrolling area is smaller... maybe more like 5%.
And... tap to click

This sounds very promising. But without tap to click I'd be lost. I assume that this means there also isn't tap twice (tap once let go tap again and don't release) to drag? Its called dragging in the Gestures section of the Trackpad section of the Mouse/Keyboard panel.

So does this latest version still disable tap to click? I too would be lost w/o it and that is the only thing keeping me from giving this kext a shot.

Yes it does. I'll write some sort of algorithm today to detect taping.
