Shift-Option-K on a Mac keyboard will give you the Apple logo . To resize it simply increase the font size.

Wouldnt mind trying that my self but I dont have a Dremel...

If I did cut it out myself I would probably cut it about 95% smaller than the Apple Logo sticker that comes in the Snow Leopard installatoim box and then just use the sticker to cover over the cutout as a sort of protection overlay.

I would definately have to buy a used lid since both of my Mini's were ordered with custom lid designs and I would hate to ruin them.

So I need your guys help. I'd like to send my 10v lid to Kyle. But I'm not sure if I can figure out:
A. What the hell a DXF file is and if it'll work on my 10v or do I need a new one
B. How should I go about removing the lid.... thanks!

Hey guys.

During holidays I had some free time. I upgraded RAM and when it was all disassembled I decided to try with this extra modification. As you can see on pictures, the procedure is hand made. With Dremel tool with slowest speed, I first drilled as many leading holes as posible. Then I roughly cut the logo out with sharp knife. After that it was al about whetting

I used white plastic diffuser, made out of plastic canister for detergent.

I am very pleased with the result.









P.S. I have another Dell mini 10V lid (RED). If someone wants, I can cut out the logo for him. The price for modified lid would be 40€ + shipping.

When the lid was open, and a light behind it, how much light shines through the screen? If I were to use some milky white acrylic, and laser cut it all, would that stop it enough? Thanks


DXF is a CAD type file, it opened right up with AutoCAD 2012 for me.
