Cheers for the feedback, I'll update this thread next month with my process and results once and if all goes to plan. I wont have access to a laser cutter til I go back to school.

Back on track, removed the display today for a webcam mod and 'lo and behold it is a recycling code 7, not 3 as previously though. This will be getting cut soon.

And just so the whole action is neutral, i broke a wire on the connector for the webcam.

In the laser cutter.

The finalised result, finally back together.

Truth be told I'll probably buy another lid and try it again, since it was quite literally the first time Ive ran a laser cutter.

Sorry for the last post, not used to this forums standards, cannot get to and edit button.

on the laser cutter

The finalised result, finally reassembled.

Ill probably end up cutting it again to make it again with a new lid.

Give it a go!

I'm waiting to need to go to the local acrylic shop to get some thin scraps to redo mine, only reason I didn't like mine was because it was the first time I had used the laser cutter, so it was destined to be mediocre at best.
