Hey guys, I just recently got my Mini 9, and immediately installed Leopard on it. Everything is running as it should except when I choose to restart the computer, it shuts down, the power LED stays on, and the computer never reboots. What can I do to fix this?


Edit: Apparently I reran DellEFI yet again, and it fixed the issue I was having.

You probably are not running a very current version of the install. Hanging at shutdown was common with users of some old audio kernel extensions. What did you use to install 10.5?

I used a 10.5.0 disc, the newest versions of DellMiniBoot 123 and the Dell EFI.

Yup, running 10.5.6.Will starting over and reinstalling help, or is it a waste of time?

I do Have the same issue, but no luck.

- ive installed retail 10.5.6
- i update bios A05
- i tried to regenerate dsdt too
- im using DellEF1.1

Restart works once ive powered up. If i sleep then wake then restart : systems hang at black screen.

Need hard power off

I tried openhaltrestart.kext : no luck

i compiled my own code into the kernel to send an soft reset command : no luck

Always the same issue :
After power on, restart ok. After one sleep/wake cycle, hang

It's odd that the code injection doesnt work !!!!

I have also exactly the same problem. I installed from 10.5.0 and upgraded.
On my question, i received a reply suggesting this was a known problem.
