Default A few questions on a Hackintosh....? - 03-06-2009, 07:54 AM

I'm planing on using a Mini 9 loaded with Ubuntu as my base machine and then loading it with Leopard. I can use a Ubuntu machine, not just a Windows machine, correct? Also, has anyone tried running VMware on a Mini 9 loaded with Leopard and then tried running Windows XP? And one last question, if I upgrade the SSD to a Runcore 64.....will there be a noticable performance increase with that new SSD? Thanks for all the help.

The initial OS doesn't matter... you can get a larger SSD with Ubuntu anyways. Honestly, going with Dell's 64GB drive is the cheapest option, but plenty of people will tell you that the RunCore is worth the upgrade cost.

VMWare machines work totally fine, you could even install it to a SDHC card if you so desired.

Hardware, yes. Software, yes. Code - Why do you think I'm here?
