Is anyone working on a driver/fix for the built in multi-card reader? I tested OSX86 on my Dell Mini a few weeks ago and was quite impressed, except with the sleep and card reader issues. Now that the sleep issue has been fixed, I plan to buy that 32GB SSD in the near future, I was wondering if anyone was trying to work on a driver/fix for the built-in multi-card reader. I really don't want to keep using my usb card reader, I like to keep my USB SDHC card always in the slot (always accessable, and never lose it).

Otherwise, great work on the progress to get OS X working smoothly on the Mini 9... it's a dream come true.

Well, the card reader works in Linux. So that says there's an open source driver out there for it. What we need is a programmer to port that driver to Darwin and recompile it. It's do-able.

Maybe what we need is a bounty or some kind of rewards for porting the driver or solving the issue. I was thinking some kind of similar incentive for the STEC SSD sleep/resume problem.

What do you think guys?

I've seen that tried before. Doesn't seem to work. Best bet is to find someone who can do it. See if they'll do it for the common good, or what they would do it for. Maybe they'd do it if we gave them a Mini9.. But before we can go down that road, we need to find that person. And we definitely want proof before payout, no need to walk into a scam.

I totally agree with you, we have to be really carefull of scam-artists.

We may need to wait a few more days because of all shipping and building delays, many people are still waiting (mainly ubuntu users)

I think those problems will be eventually solved but maybe some good-old cash prize could help us find the right guy (especially nowadays).
