Yes and no... I use super duper all the time to clone tech images amongst external hard drives, but the issue still lies with the fact that you need to have a bootloader available to use the cloned image. I'd say that it would be worth a shot to try and load the mac cloned os onto the SSD... you will still need a bootloader on a jump drive to boot into that os the first time... from there you can run DellEFI and you could possibly be all set. Essentially you're saving yourself the installation and customization of the mini.
I've got a backup / tech image on a 16GB jump drive, it works on the mini when I use the bootloader to access it.
You have my blessing to give it a shot... it won't hurt anything to try. Let us know how it goes, okay?
