It goes all the way and then gives me that screenshot. If I restart mini it says "No OS detected because I have nothing installed on the SSD
. I have like 28GB free on the SSD
. It's frustrating a bit.
I think the problem is that I didn't load the syslinux on the thumbdrive correctly.
I went to FINDER in my MacBook and dragged the contents of DellMiniBoot123v8.02b1.iso into the the smaller (4GB) thumbdrive. I noticed that that file has a syslinux already in there. I then went to one of my PC's with XP and did:
syslinux -ma F:
It didn't return any errors so I assume it went through fine. The only question I have on this is that if there was already a syslinux file in the iso would the command prompt auto overwrite the file or does it disregard it. That may be my problem.
When I boot the mini I press boot from USB, boots syslinux and then the lines go **************************** so on so forth.
It gives me an error and doesn't tell me to press enter. I get a message on the screen that says:
Press Enter to start up the foreign OS
I press ESC and it tells me to press 80 or 81
I usually just go straight to the 81. Did I make any sense at all?
