I tested a Kingston 1 GB SD micro and a 2 GB Lexar Platinum II 60x and both work great! My 4GB SDHC didn't do anything, but I expected that. Great work guys!!!!

I use a Dell Mini9 with OS X, 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, 802.11n Airport card, and IrDA.

My IrDA Mod...

Drewmangroup - can you post or PM me the output from /var/log/system.log when you insert the card?

fgodfrey

If you need more data or log files I can send it too. I have a 16 GB SDHC. Let me know.

loonix - Thanks for the offer, but I know what's wrong with SDHC. Basically, SD cards are addressed by byte and SDHC cards by block. It's just a matter of me getting the time to write up the procedure to detect which card type was inserted. If I or type11 don't get to it soon, I might post a version with *only* SDHC support but I'd rather not confuse people with two versions. I should have time to get back to this in about 2 weeks.

Well, the code is on SourceForge. I certainly won't object if someone wants to write some of the remaining code

How does it boot with the card inserted?

After I first installed OSX (type11) it took my mini about 4 minutes to boot. For the life of me, i couldn't figure out why. Then I removed my 16GB SD card from the slot and BOOM. 20ish second booting.
