The UK Mini layout loses the Option Key effects for the 3 key - i.e. it was the Euro symbol before, now it gives the £ - same effect as Shift
Also, the Key to the right of the keyboard is still inactive...

Well I checked the US and UK style there's no euro symbol on 3, no matter what key you combine with, and there's no euro symbol printed on keyboard so I just dropped it.

And the key to the right of spacebar never functions in osx, not my fault. Cheers!!!

P.S: It's really easy to create your own layout, try it and share with us. ^_^

Any tips on creating the layouts?
The Euro key works as the default UK keyboard.
If the key to right of space bar is inactive, how do you get the backslash?
Cheers

Ukelele

This software will do. It's really easy to use even without manual.

And I set option+delete as "\" but it doesn't work, I didn't think it as a big problem. Since you mentioned, I will try fix it.

Fyi, UK keyboard has the € (Euro) symbol through AltGr+4 -- I used it to put the symbol in this reply It is printed on the key itself as well.

Here it is, new UK style layout, opt+"?/" = "\", opt+"4" = euro symbol. Tell me if there's problem. Enjoy!!! ^_^

P.S: Mini 9 keyboard doesn't tell the difference between "alt" and "altGr", if you run ukelele you will find out that both of them means cmd key on the right.

Amended the UK one to put the € symbol on the option-3 key - as per Dell's UK standard layout
In my mappings, the AltGr key is mapped to the Command (apple) key, so I cannot use this combination....
... unless you know better

Now . . . . what would really be nice: Clean, professional-looking decals (or stickers) to go over modified keys.
I am assuming that these keycaps are probably not removable. ? ? ?

If you replace one of the kexts (which is buried within another kext) you'll get the key to the right of the spacebar back. See,

for downloads and one set of instructions.
