Default 1 Month old 32gb Runcore dead? - 02-01-2009, 01:46 AM

About a month ago I installed a 32gb Runcore drive with little trouble. I had XP on it for a while, then most recently OSX Leopard was installed. Neither gave me much trouble. Until last night, I was surfing, doing nothing special and the machine locked up. I reboot, it hung at the "Dell" progress bar a long time, then told me no operating system was found. So I boot from an external DVD drive to the leopard installer, opened up Disk Utility, and no hardware showed up except my USB DVD drive.

Ugh. Did this thing jut bite it? Is there any warranty on these things or are we in "OEM" territory?

Any suggestions on raising it from the dead would be awesome. But my hopes are not high.

Can you see it on the Main Page in your Bios? If you can't see it here than it is dead.

EDIT: Copied from website

" Warranty
• 2 Year Replacement Warranty"

Hope you got it from MDD.

I had the same thing happen to me with a 64GB RunCore.. MDD was good about sending me an RMA and I returned it 10 days ago.. I guess I am waiting for new stock to come in... Otherwise they have been quite responsive...

Glad to have my original 16GB ssd from Dell during this down time..
