Received my 2nd RunCore yesterday. I removed the working RunCore 32GB running OSX 10.5.6 and Type11v7.7 from my Dell mini-9 and connected both RunCore drives to USB ports on my iMac. I opened Disk Utility on the iMac and partitioned the new SSD
as GUID into one partition OSX Journaled; and then performed a clone on the new drive using the Disk Utility ‚ÄúRESTORE‚ÄĚ function. That appeared to go smoothly.
I removed the two SSDs from my iMac and installed the new, cloned drive in the mini-9. Attempted normal boot. The boot failed, of course. I restarted and entered SETUP and enabled USB boot and booted from my Type11,v7.7 USB stick and OSX opened normally, except that the icons were too wide (normal). I then attempted to run the MiniScript on the USB Stick.
Almost immediately I got a dialog box stating, AppleScript Error
mount_hfs: Invalid argument (1)
Below this text was a progress bar with diagonal lines running through it. Over the bar the words, “Current Operation: mounting EFI volume
I clicked OK and rebooted using the USB Stick with Type11,v7.7 and the -f character. Again OSX came up. This time I ran permissions on the new SSD
before attempting to run MiniScript. MiniScript failed in exactly the same manner.
Then I plugged the new SSD
into my mini-9 and erased it, repartitioned into one partition as GUID and used CarbonCopyCloner to make a clone of my original 32GB SSD
which was running perfectly. After making the clone in this manner I again installed the new SSD
and went through the same process with the same results: AppleScript Error
mount_hfs: Invalid argument (1).
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
