Default Xcode - 01-27-2009, 01:09 PM

i'm planning to write some iphone/ipod touch apps. turns out you need a mac to do this.

so i was thinking of getting the mini 9 and putting os x on it for this purpose.

i was wondering if anybody has tried running the XCode IDE and if it was possible for it to interface with an iphone or ipod touch connected to the comp (probably via usb)

thanks in advance

Everythign should work just like on any other Mac. But keep in mind the space that Xcode is going to take up on the SDD and also the iPhone SDK which i believe is around 2 gigs. I think you might be able to have the SDK on an external device though.

Yeah, I run XCode on mine, works great. Compiles a bit slow, but that's to be expected really. Might not emulate an iPhone at full speed either. Get a 64gb SSD and you'll have plenty of room to move around in. More than enough room.

Tired of wondering if your Mini9 is doing ANYTHING? - Add a HDD Activity LED
