OSX 10.6.3 now takes ~5.2 Gb from 7.x available on the internal HD.
Is by chance a newer version 10.6.4-8 smaller?
Printers are removed, voices except fred, dictionarys except oxford. Anything you suggest to remove except apple apps (they add to the bling bling of the OS).
If I transfer /home to a SD card, I have 2 Gb for installing MS office, Libre Office and iWork and iLife. Even if this may fit: do the progs tend to fill their directorys with conf files etc? So if I leave 1Gb of free space after installing, will this suffice for the future if end-user-files and mail etc reside at /home externally?
