| Senior Member Posts: 397 Join Date: May 2010 Location: Palm Springs, CA | i know i ran into this issue at some point. but can't remember quite how i solved it. my default reaction would be to use GParted (linux; Parted Magic), to reformat the crap out of the drive. ALWAYS back up of course. specifically, i would delete each partition and leave the entire drive as "raw space." Commit the changes. and then format the drive to fat 32. seems to me that format is easiest for the installer to recognize. once that's done, if the installer does see the drive, of course you'll have to use Disk Utility and format to mac os X extended journaled (default Mac format) in order to install to the drive. it is key to commit the drive to raw space in order for all current partition table information to be deleted, and a new partition table to be generated when you go back and format to fat 32. hope that helps. cheers. / SL 10.6.6 NBI 0.8.4 Special/ Linux Mint |Please use my Dropbox Invite link: http://db.tt/4z2wwup |
