The thing that is nice about what you are looking at is that it is able to take a higher resolution screen than what we currently have on the mini9. But you do not get the SSD
with the HP mini. I have played around some with the first HP mini and it isn't bad. there is just something about the netbooks, ya just cant hate them. For the most part its all the same internals. Having the 768pix vertical on the screen is required for some programs (adobe illustrator). Personally i care for the opposing trackpad buttons but my friend loves it. And if you really wanted you could replace the standard laptop drive with an SSD
. I work at a local computer shop and get to call and chat online with tech support with getting RMAs for HP and Dell, both have good customer support.
Bottom line: Each is to his own. Let your cousin get what HE wants, I think he will be happy either way
