I tried the .51 installer with 10.6.8 and it hosed my mini9. I re-installed 10.6.3 but now the only update available is the combined 10.6.8.  Please tell me whoever develops the netbook installer is still updating it. fingers crossed. |

Yes. It's a bad idea. At the moment there seems to be no reliable way to get 10.6.8 working on a 9 or 10v. You get stuck in a reboot loop and have to archive and install back to an older version of 10.6 to recover. |

I have just got 10.6.8 to boot ok You need to go to kexts.com and download and install the legacy Kernel for 10.6.8 kexts.com/content/382-release-legacy-kernel-sleepenabler-10-6-8.html]Kexts.com - Release of Legacy Kernel and Sleepenabler for 10.6.8 I then had to rerun NBI 20100616212351 And basically it now boots ok It is on the home page as this forum won't let me post a link yet |
