HDD Enclosures - 01-19-2009, 07:37 PM
Not the most relevant question in the world, but I figured that since mini-9 storage is so choked perhaps someone here has experience with this...
I've ordered my mini-9 and have every intention of putting osx on it next week when I get it. I'm getting the 32GB runcore, but I have loads of video, music and photos that I'm going to have to creatively have 'around.' I have two WD 320GB hdds laying around and I need an enclosure to wrap them in. It's my intention to put these on my iMac and share then, so when I'm in the house my mini will be able to access the media on them.
OWC has an enclosure that looks perfect, but for the life of me I can't figure out what cabling is included. Do I need to buy SATA data cables? Or SATA power cables? Or both?
If anybody has bought an OWC enclosure in the past, I'd appreciate your insight. Thanks.
