I have created a USB on IDE and FLASH boot image before and work on 11z but this time it won't work on my LAT2100. I got stuck on a big logo saying to turn off my computer. So I will be taking a different approach this time and use the retail DVD via a USB external drive procedure. (NetbookInstaller 3: Installation via External DVD Drive using NetbookCD | Guides | OS X | mechdrew) My Lat2100 will get a new Intel 320 series SSD ( I can only afford the 40 Gig)

I will set to factory the BIOS and will disable Gig eth, USB BIOS Legacy Support will be "Enabled" and USB Wake from Sleep will be set Disabled.

I don't mind if I need to compile from ubuntu/debian/Joli OS the NetbookInstaller 0.8.5 source to support may LAT and the retail Sl DVD 10.6.3.

The guide on the link above says -

0.8.3 RC4 (This release) - Includes updated software to help with 10.6.2

Dual booting is not important. I will be happy with just an OSX installed.

So will this approach work on my Lat2100? The bios on my LAT is Rev 4. Should I downgrade?

When I'm done with this project I'm going to give away all the parts I used for anybody interested Like the Imation USB Flash or even the 30 Gig IBM drive, the back cover of my LAT and 1012 with all the necessary brackets.. Shipped free in 48 states.
