Default Noobie questions - 01-17-2009, 05:22 PM

First of all, sorry if these have been asked, I've been doing a lot of reading on here, but still have a few questions before I commit to all of this.

If I get a family pack disc can I use it to install on multiple minis? Or will I need to save some installs in case stuff goes wrong?

Does using this method create a dual-boot computer, or does it wipe out XP?

If I'm reading correctly, you should be able to do this on a 16BG SSD fairly easily (if you don't install printers/fonts etc), correct?

When using this install method, will SDHC cards still be useable?

Like I said, I'm sure these have been answered, I'm sorry if they have... I just really am interested and want to try this out! Thanks in advance.

With a family pack, you can install on up to 5 machines in YOUR household. Doesn't mean you can install on 5 mini's and sell them on eBay as licensed. (Just an example) Apple does not keep track of how many times you install or on how many machines.
Generally, Dual Boot is a very elite trick to pull off, it's not easy to do.
Yes, OS X fits great onto a 16gb SSD.
Yes, SD and SDHC cards work great, and the read/write speed is pretty good too.

And to answer your first thought, I'm NOT looking to make them and sell them... that's pretty lame. I have a couple of roommates that would be interested in this too, so we could all chip in and save some green.

I've read over the type 11 install FAQ's, it sounds very easy, almost too easy.... Are there any guides with pics?
