Default Defrag my Mac - 02-28-2011, 04:55 AM

I am a newbie in the world of Mac. I have bought my Mac a couple of months ago. It the beginning it was very fast but now it takes little longer to run any application.

So, I decided to defrag it to arrange the system files in synchronized manner. But i didn't find any option like this.

Is there any inbuilt utility to defrag Mac or I would have to go for some third party tool.

The file system that MacOS uses doesn't really benefit from defragmentation. Your problem is probably elsewhere.

Is the Mac you bought a real Apple Mac or a "Hackintosh", like we discuss in this forum?
