Default Accessing the GPS under OS X - 01-16-2009, 08:30 PM

My Mini 9 has the Dell 5530 HSDPA card fitted which I understand has a built in GPS.

Is it possible to access this under OS X? I think that it'd be handy to be able to use it, not that I've actually thought of a use for it yet but I'm sure that given enough time I could

you'll most likely have to use special drivers and/or software from the manufacturer of the card to get GPS to read from it. Since dell makes the card you may have to track down the actual manufacturer of the chipset and see if they have drivers. Or if you're lucky one of the apps i found when doing a simple google search will have the ability to read the GPS from the HSDPA modem.

My girlfriend has a Sprint EVDO modem for her mac and the sprint software that came with it is what handles the GPS.
