I have had dual booting 10.6.4 and Win7 working for a while and decided to do the update to .5 and nothing but problems. The combo update failed at the end of the run and now I can not get past the spinning gear. I ran NBI 0.8.4 RC1 before the attempt and have run it since from another system on an external drive on my boot drive but still nothing but a spinning gear. I tried "recovery=y" but no joy. I tried doing a new 10.6 install and still had the update failure. However I ran the same update file on my external drive and it works fine. I have also tried to re-install my old system from a Time Machine backup and it leaves me in the same fix with a spinning gear. Now I am very confused. Seems to be a boot issue but I don't know where to go from here. Any ideas??
