Default Mini 10v - Screen Saver Broke after 10.6.5 Update - 11-18-2010, 01:54 PM

I just updated my Mini-10v from 10.6 to 10.6.5 using software update. After install, Mini wouldn't boot, so I re-booted from my SL install USB Flash drive, and ran NBI again.
Also "Repaired Permissions". Now, it says my "Screen Saver can't be used with this version of OS-X". Only 2 modules work - "Flurry" and "Computer Name". I get the aforementioned error message whenever I try to select any of the other "standard" screen saver modules, or simply add a new folder full of pictures or select anything from the iPhotos "albums" that do show in the list. Could this be "Kext-related"? PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like Quartz Extreme isn't working. Is your Finder bar translucent? If not I would say the kext is either corrupted or not properly installed.

Quartz Extreme doesn't show up in System Profiler anymore, but the screen savers not working is a symptom of it not working properly.

Use the NBI from this thread, link in first post-
