I used it, but that was over a year ago, so I'm sketchy on the details these days. If it was me, I would use the guides here- Guides | OS X | mechdrew $29 for a SL upgrade disc use an 8 gig USB thumb drive, and you would have a nice stable machine, I've got 3 now.
