Default question on chameleon bootloader - 11-06-2010, 01:44 PM

im on dell mini 9 osx 10.5.8
Ive installed using mswindosx image and used it well so far.
I was wondering if I install Chameleon bootloader using DELFI 2a5, wud it put my machine in kernel panic? (currently darwin as default)

The method you used isn't supported here. DellEFI is also no longer supported here. I used it, but that was over a year ago, so I'm sketchy on the details these days.

If it was me, I would use the guides here- Guides | OS X | mechdrew

$29 for a SL upgrade disc use an 8 gig USB thumb drive, and you would have a nice stable machine, I've got 3 now. You could use your current install to do the Mac version of the install.

Most likely, if not break the install completely. Like I said, the method you used is not supported or used here, so I'm not sure.
