I'm updating now. Just going through software update. I hope that's alright.

Is there any chance this will fix the greyed out option to turn off Bluetooth?

What exactly are the instructions for this, I would love to not have to start my mini all over.

My guess is:
repair permissions
run NBI with defaults
combo update
reboot
repair permissions

hopefully this won't break my sound that I finally got working...as per Akki and some of the info here Dell Mini 9 Audio with Microphone without VoodooHDA (Snow 10.6.2)

thanks!

Yeah, anybody please share your experience on the 10v regarding the 10.6.5 update. I guess you guys are reffering to NBI 0.8.4 RC1 being used for the 10.6.5 ?

I just updated: All works well!

Use the latest version of NetBook Installer and then install the update.

Restart.

TADAA!!

It takes a long time but we'll see if it was worth it, it seems to run at the same speed as the 10.6.4

[edit]: On a final note, it set my trackpad driver for multi touch back to default ... odd. But I just changed it back and 10.6.5 is running VERY smoothly!

Thanks for letting us know. I'll try it when I get home tonight.

Successful update here as well on a Mini9. And no reset of trackpad as occurred for coder12.

Using NBI 0.8.4 RC1.1. Updated via Software Update since none of the update downloads were online at the time. No permission fix ran pre-update.

Cursory check shows that lid close sleep, speakers, headphone jack all work and work on rewake.

BIOS A05 | USB Legacy: ON | USB Wake: OFF | Bluetooth: OFF | NBI .8.4 RC1.1 (20100616212351)
Sleep: Working | Speakers: Working | Headphone Jack: Working

Another successful Mini 9 update, although my dock was tiny after logging in

Successful update on my end as well.

Steps:
1) Run the latest version of NBI
2) Download and install the update
3) After you mini has rebooted, run NBI again
4) Reboot and enjoy!

Default Bluetooth Toggle Broken - 11-11-2010, 02:18 AM

Well, the update went well, and NBI ran perfectly... The 10v boots beautifully, but Bluetooth remains on, although 'Bluetooth On' is greyed-out when I hover over the icon... I re-ran NBI with 'fix Bluetooth' checked, but still no joy.

Any suggestions?

repaired permissions, ran software updates, runs no problem. took about 20 mins to download, install, restart, etc.

thanks again meklort for making such a great implementation of your hacks. i love my hackbook more than my real mac (which i only use for intense media editing now).
