- Runned ComboUpdate to 10.6.6 (not rebooted)
- Rerunned NBI 20100616212351
- Rebooted

Yesterday I installed Snow Leopard 10.6 Retail from scratch using the USB method and NetbookBootMaker 0.8.4RC1fix from Mechdrew's blog on my Mini 10v running XP(yuck!). Everything working fine with 10.6.

1. Ran NetbookInstaller 20100616212351 (linked at start of this thread) with no changes to options
2. Ran MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.6.dmg
3. Ran NetbookInstaller 20100616212351 again afterwards before restarting.
Restarted.

Now running 10.6.6 and Everything Works Great!!!

All the efforts of those involved are very much appreciated! Thanks!

ps. I will be updating a 10.6.2 Mini 10v to 10.6.6 later today using the 3 steps above.

Just went from 10.6 to 10.6.6 with no problems at all! Everything seems to work fine, I have audio, bt, and wake from sleep. The boot time is longer than what I was at before, but I can live with it. Did the same steps as sidereal...

Is there a 10.6.6 thread? After not booting my Mini 9 into OSX for a long while, I finally got around to looking at updates. Updated to 10.6.6 but noticed that my power/battery indicator seems wonky. It doesn't seem to think that my power adapter is connected and it tells me that my battery needs servicing. Also, I read somewhere on this forum that the mic doesn't work.

So is there a FAQ/Wiki about what works and what doesn't work in 10.6.6 and in what configurations (I'm using EasyBCD as the bootloader, for instance).

recently did the same from 10.6.0 to 10.6.7, and everything is working!

I tried to upgrade from 10.6.4 to 10.6.6 and it's hanging on reboot (at the apple logo). I ran the latest NBI before the upgrade, but obviously I missed a step somewhere. Yes, I know I messed up, I don't need any more reminders of that. But does anyone have any ideas on how I can recover, or am I just hosed?

I was going from 10.6.2 to 10.6.5 and ran into the same reboot problem... How can I fix this?

Edit: Never mind. I fixed the problem by holding down the shift key until the grey boot screen, then typing "recover=Y", and reinstalling the NBI once booted.

Attempted upgrade Mini9 from 10.5.6 to 10.6.0 using NBM 84RC1fix but always got a kernal panic when booting from the USB stick.
Ran NBM 83RC5 and installed 10.6.0 OK
Ran NBI 20100616212351 OK
Ran combo updater 10.6.7 OK
Ran NBI again, rebooted, all OK

Did have to erase the 16GB internal drive to get enough room to install 10.6.0

Yep it works fine (tried the same thing on two 10v's I've got).

What I did was:

1. Go to 'System Preferences > Security' & untick 'Use secure virtual memory'
2. Rebooted
3. Open up the 'Terminal' & typed

sudo pmset -g

to confirm where the 'sleepimage' was & what state my sleep was in (mine was set to hibernatemode 0)
4. Removed the 'sleepimage'

sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage

5. Enabled both sleep & deep sleep by typing

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3

6. Closed the lid & waited for it to sleep (which will take a little longer before the light starts to blink)
7. Removed the battery then inserted it back & powered it back on
8. Low & behold! it brought me back to my desktop with the 'terminal' window still open on my desktop.

YMMV, though as I said I tried it on two 10v's & both are hibernating fine

Took me a while to find this thread. I am amazed it worked. Ive had my hackintosh for over a year and just now have enabled deep sleep!

Does anyone know how to fix ''Service battery" warning? It happend when I ran the latest NBI 8.5 pre on updating to 10.6.7 ( I dont know why I chose pre)
