Default Hackintosh: OSX Cannot See Internal HDD - 10-08-2010, 10:44 PM

Dell Mini 1010
Bios A11
External HDD with OSX 10.6.0 build (already installed OSX on 1012 from same drive)

So I am able to boot to the USB Drive and get to the install of OSX, but when I go to Format the internal HDD, it does not show up in the List of Drives.

I currently have Win7 installed on the drive and can boot into it no problem.

I am unsure why OSX cannot recognize the drive.

A screen shot is provided below.

Thanks for the help!

If the drive is formatted NTFS OS X will not be able to read it.

I believe you would need to set up the partition for OS X to go on ahead of time with either a Windows tool making it FAT32 or a Linux tool before OS X will be able to access the drive properly.
