Create a new user account and see if the problem persists

Ah...re-reading your post I wonder if you can even do this.

Wow. Im extremely disappointing with these forums. I thought this website was for dell mini hackintosh users. The first place I automatically would go to. Now I am going to reconsider. I have received minimal help, and I understand no one else is experiencing these issues. But. I am a student in need of my files. And I would like to use my personal programs. So to whoever actually reads this post, all 280 of you, I hope you enjoy your experience with this laptop, while I sit here, at a stand still.

jcoinster, everyone here is a user and a volunteer. There is no guarantee that every problem can be solved by people in this forum. You should also understand that hackintoshing is "bleeding edge" and completely unsupported. Things can and do go wrong. Just because many people read the thread that doesn't mean that someone is holding out on you.

I'm sorry to hear of your problems, but your attitude is unlikely to get you the results you desire. I suggest that you restore the Dell factory OS and work in a supported environment if you can't accept the risks involved.

I love how that gets an instant reply: When a user shoots down the website and 10 minutes later BAM.

I'm not that sort of person to blame transfer for my mistakes. I completely understand that the forum is on a volunteer basis. The only reason I posted a reply like that is to see how fast someone replied. I don't mean what I said, although I would still like support from fellow users, and I thank this forum for everything my computer is (Well, was). I realize that other then bumping this thread, a negative reply like the above is useless to my cause.

However, the OS I choose to run is not forum chosen nor factory based. If anything, a solid, more stable and capable secondary OS is my choice of OS. However, that is MY opinion and I would like to keep it so. I mean, as of now, it is my primary OS.

I thank you for your entertainment.

Couple of thoughts. Do you have another OSX machine you can boot from? Have you done target disk boot, that is, boot machine a from machine b's disk over ethernet? Also 2 utilities I like better that Onyx are IceClean and Applejack, which runs at a reall low level. Caveat is that I have never tried AJ on my hackintosh, only on apple HW, but given your luck so far it probably wouldn't hurt to try.
