Default Graphics Update - 08-18-2010, 04:58 AM

Anybody happen to run the graphics update for OS X that came out today (08-17-2010) by accident or otherwise? What happened?

It ran fine and the Mini9 running 10.6.4 just rebooted perfectly ...

Video seems unchanged and I verified a secondary screen connect as well at 1920x1200 which still looked great.

Seems like nothing to worry about.

Running NBI pre-release 2010-06-16 ...

Can also confirm this on Mini 10V with 10.6.4.

Everything working and driving 1920x1080 external.

Running NetbookInstaller 20100616212351

You'll want to rerun NBI otherwise the updated graphics driver won't be used.

Perhaps it's just my mind playing tricks on me, but my 10v DOES seem a little snappier, especially with Exposé and Spaces. Reading the info on the update, I can't see any real reason why it would, but who knows?

Can you say which options should be selected please, regenerate DSDT?

Guess it's totally useless to do that update because it's only nVidia's drivers (maybe ATi too ?). As we can see only mac with at least 9400 are concerned (mac mini early 2009 and above).

My 10v gets a kernel panic and can't boot after the update...even in safe mode (-x at disk screen). Yikes.
