Post Howto run NBI using NetbookCD - 08-08-2010, 12:46 PM

If you have an updated version of Mac OS X which needs a special NBI (like 10.6.4 needs this one) installed on your system and somehow you lose chamaleon, here is what you need to do:

Download proper NBI and copy it somewhere you can reach (like in a hfs partition on your disk or in an usb stick etc.). I had my proper NBI file in my Downloads folder on my disk so I pass this step.
Run Mac OS X Installer as explained in this page.
Select your language and press Enter.
Click on “Terminal” which is in the Utilities menu.
Get into the directory which contains NBI you need to run. (### shows the version number)
cd /Volumes/<The disk and directory which contains NBI>/NetbookInstaller
6. Show me the contents of this directory:
7. You should see these two files now:
NetbookInstaller	NetbookInstallerCLI
8. Then it's time to run NBI:
That’s all. Fix your Mac and have a good day!
