| Senior Member Posts: 248 Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Michigan | While upgrading from 10.6.0 to 10.6.4 using the beta NBI 0.8.4 using recovery=y -v I see it hangs on this line: ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPower Management) timed out I have searched all over the web and I see that the common practice is to remove this AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext file. but wanting to know if there is a flag I can set to bypass this? Another question is, can I mount the HD from the USB startup and gain access from the terminal to remove this file or do I need to boot into the hard drive from a live Linux CD?
