I'm at my boss's house this weekend here on Sunny Maui, hawaii trying to boot off of a 8gb, 10.5 restored usb. This usb installed 10.5 on my dell 10v, however, i'm NEEDING it to install 10.5 as an upgrade to an older imac g4 (2004-ish, still on 10.3.9). The panther OS (10.3.9) detects the usb, and opens the "install leopard" dialogue box, yet after the system reboot, the system does not boot from usb, it only detects the HDD in the boot pane.

I dont know if anyone else had used their usb key they use for their dell mini to upgrade other mac's with...i might have to redo the restore with a fresh disk image->usb.
