Looks good. Are the stickers big enough to cover the full dell logo?

It says 1 1/2" , should just cover it , my only concern its they look a little thick, well for $1.50 I think I'll give it a shot.

I've always liked the rainbow one, but nowadays, I might get some random guy's hopes up when I show up at Starbucks with a rainbow on my laptop.. Wouldn't want to hurt anyone feelings.. (Yeah, that's the ticket)

I like my laser etching..

Actually, you notice on that site that he put a light up Apple logo in his Eee? I was thinking that it'd be cool to do that with my Mini9, I wonder if enough light is emitted out of the back of our LCD to light one of those up. A laser would do a great job of making a perfect hole in the lid for the apple logo. No need to do the ugly square hole hack job he did.

One thing for sure, the lid gets a lot of scratches and fingerprints on it. and the led mod would be cool as heck

There is a light difuser that he got as part of the replacement lid/logo. It's what lights up the real mac's. No reason you couldn't put one in your mini, it's really really thin.

Yeah, but it only diffuses the light, it doesn't create the light.. I had considered using some EL sheet, worst case, but you'd have to find a very very tiny EL inverter to fit into the monitor bezel..

I purchased and just received the lid from an old Powerbook. The clear plastic piece is just glued in place with a very thin sheet of white plastic placed over it to give it the white color.

I'm going to use the original lid as a template, trace it onto the Mini's lid and then take a dremel to it. No idea how I'm going to light it up yet, but that seems to be the easy part once the major surgery is complete.

Use a frickin laser! hehe.. really, call around to local sign shops, find a vector drawing of the Apple logo online, it can be scaled to the exact size of the Apple logo you have, and then the Apple logo will be a press fit into the opening you cut.
