My assumption would be in if you are doing this much work to make this happen then sanding down the would be the easy part which would get rid of the dell logo. I might be wrong but if you are doing this yourself (not having it laser etched, I don't think it would look proper without wet sanding in order to smooth out the edges anyway, so just either sand it and paint it properly or take it to an autobody shop and have it done right.

With all that said what's the update on the stickers. I know he was working on a resize but wasn't that like over 2 weeks ago'. No update yet?

For everyone trying to use a sticker that doesn't completely cover up the Dell logo:

One option is to buy a plain black decal that covers up the whole lid: http://www.istyles.com/solid-state-blac ... 14092.html

Is there a way to remove the Dell logo from the lid? Is it molded into the plastic? I haven't received my Mini form Dell yet (though it's in shipping and should be here tomorrow or Wednesday) but when I say it at Best Buy it looked like it might be able to be removed.

I ordered Cherry Red so making sure my Dell logo is covered is important to me and I don't want to skin the machine because that kills the $30 I spent getting it Red to begin with.

well if you are cutting a whole in your lid to get an apple logo, than you are probably willing to sand down through the clear coat and remove the remaining silver sticker.

Than you could make any design or repaint what ever color before applying more clear coat. than it could be a 'super custom macbook mini 9 netbook' (name might be a little long)
This is true... personally, I was looking for a quicker fix to it, and sanding down is not exactly my favorite choice as it would be hard to get the display smooth at that point... there would be a little dip in it from the sanding... i guess i am a little picky on that and will just have to wait for the sticker.

Hardware, yes. Software, yes. Code - Why do you think I'm here?

You can try covering the dell logo with paper before you apply the sticker.

hmmm yes...i don't really to mess it up some how and it look like crap...i might just place the sticker on the lower left corner of the cover...so both logos are visible

but then again...it might be cool to have the dell logo visible through the apple logo...like a new dell-hackintosh logo lol

I just ordered a roll of carbon fiber vinyl that I will be putting on. I'm still deciding whether I want to put the apple logo on top of that or just leave the carbon fiber untouched... decisions decisions

Personally, I don't want an Apple sticker for my mini (happy to give credit to Dell for the hardware), but what I would like is 2 small keyboard decals: one with the Command key squiggle, and another that says opt. Anyone aware if such are available?
