Default Traveling with mini - crisis avoidance plan? - 06-29-2010, 03:22 PM

Our mini 10v will get to go on its first trip soon .

When we traveled with our various Macs, I used to bring a copy of the OS install DVD. I don't think I need to carry my original install flash drive for the mini if I bring the following - or am I wrong?

I am going to make a usb backup flash drive with a clone of what is on the new mini now - Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and the few applications we use (Open Office, Firefox and perhaps I'll install iPhoto 08 but I'm not sure) There are no documents saved on the mini yet.

**If we run into some sort of difficulty with the mini, will this work to get us going again?
**I assume after I make a SuperDuper backup of the mini's HD onto the flash drive, I need to install the current NBI 0.8.4 RC1 which I used for the original installation last month as well. (not the one jazzed up NBI for 10.6.4)
