No love on this at all, have tried all the suggestions on my 10v to no avail, am stuck on the main starburst background and nothing else, just an occasional spinning mouse cursor. Any ideas?

Just an FYI -

I ran meklort's "tweaked" NBI and tried installing the 10.6.4 combo update. It gave me an error message stating that my boot volume (64GB Runcore SSD) didn't meet the requirements for installation.

So I went to "software update" and deselected everything but the "10.6.4 Mac OS X Update" and it installed. Rebooted, then I went back to "software update" and selected/installed the rest of the items. Re-ran the "tweaked" NBI, rebooted, all good to go (100% updated).

Not sure what part of the combo package is causing the problem, but just a heads-up.

My sound issue is fixed.
I decided to run NBI again this time I rid the ATI and GeForce from the terminal. Before I just hunt and pecked one's I thought I wouldn't use manually.

Onto VGA out.... I decided to reinstall the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext from the oldGMA located in the NBI 0.8.3 RC4. Ran Update Extra, Then reran the tweaked NBI from Meklort. Reboot.

Sound is fixed (5 reboots tested)
Mirrored display with VGA out is working again.
Dual boot still intact.

All good.

Ok, i'm a little late to the game ... but should i do anything about the " don't steal Mac osx.kext" ??

Glad this helped a few, been lurking a long time elsewhere and trying to give back.
The reason this appears to work is that removing those files before reboot makes /S/L/E shrink from 281Mb to 240Mb+ and fits within the NBI ramdisk limit mentioned.
The kernel seems to be similar enough that the runtime patch code still works.

News from the MSI Wind U100:
same process worked, but as before I had to delete the ApplePS2Controller.kext from /Extra/GenericExtensions and put into /Extra/AdditionalExtensions:
ApplePS2Controller.kext from ApplePS2Controller_WithSenteic_1.1.2_src.zip
VoodooHDAkext
VoodooPowerMini.kext
and delete the trackpad control panel added by NBI - somehow I have the stock panel active, not sure how I got it to work...

Applied the new NBI before.
Used Apple Menu > Software update to download and install 10.6.4
Reboot
Waited Patiently for NBI Icon and black spinning wheel to finish up.
Took approximately 30 - 45 minutes did not exactly time it.
Everything went well better than 10.6.3 update. All my network management: Wireshark, cdpr earlier used to lose the interfaces, did not happen this time.

Main requirement is patient after the reboot.
