I try to reboot off a pendrive with the original MacOSX I made with NetBookBootMaker, but it goes quickly past the drive and I get the KP again. I even tried to boot off a external hard drive and it goes to the KP screen. How do I boot off anything and start over? Do I have to reformat the drive in Disk Utility after recovery=yes to get into the OS? ---------- Post added at 01:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:20 AM ---------- I figured it out!!! By running recovery (recovery=y, holding Shift key) trick and re-installing NBI 0.8.4RC1, choosing only to install the netbook extensions and uncheck every thing else, it booted up and works 100% in version 10.6.4. ---------- Post added at 02:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:27 AM ---------- Boot and hold down the shift key and you will see a picture of your hard drive in the middle of the screen. Type "recovery=y". You will see it as you are typing it at the very left bottom of the screen (very tiny print). Hit Enter and your MINI should boot into the OS. |

I just tested it on a new install and it seams to work fine, let me know if you have issues. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/863180/Netbo...212351.app.zip Dell Mini 10v | Mac OS X 10.6.5 | 1 GB RAM | 160 GB HDD | BIOS A06 My Blog | NetbookInstaller code repository | NetbookInstaller Website | Want a Lockerz.com invite? message me. |

I can get to the desktop with recovery=y but if I do NetbookInstaller does not recognise my Dell 10v and says it is an unsupported computer. If I boot from my original USB, run the new netbookinstaller with the hard disk as the target, then it recognises the Dell 10v but at real boot time shows the partitions in Chameleon, boot to a spinning wheel + apple logo then goes to a blank screen. My emergency will be to re-install from the USB stick, but I would rather recover my existing system. Any suggestions why it is not recognising the Dell ?
