to boot recovery=y, turn mini off and turn it back on as its powering on hold down the shift key, u should come up into safe mode with a partion on the screen. begin typing recovery=y....it should appear at the botton left of the screen...jus hit enter after u type it in and the mini should boot to osx

Dell Mini 9 running 10.6.3 through NBI 0.8.4 RC1 with no major issues (only issue is the camera stopped working a week after clean installation). Updated to 10.6.4 using the Combo update - downloaded dmg and ran update locally. On reboot, NBI ran automatically. Rebooted again, kernel panic:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2f66b108): "Unsupported CPU: family = 0x6, model = 0x1c, stepping 0x2"@/SourceCache/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement-105.10/pmProcessor.c:210
(big bunch of dumped hex here)
Kernel Extensions in backtrac[Text obscured by restart message.]
com.apple.driver.AppleInte[Text obscured by restart message.]

Booted from my Hackintosh USB key; ran NBI from the key, rebooted, kernel panic.

Booted from local partition and recovery=y; ran NBI from the local partition, rebooted, kernel panic.

I presume NBI needs to be updated for 10.6.4, and those of us who are getting this panic (which appears to be most of us) are S.O.L. until the update is released?

Have either of you two above tried running /Extra/UpdateExtra.app after you get in with recovery=y? I'm just guessing here btw. Maybe then repair permissions and reboot, cross fingers, etc.

All of the above..I even had my lucky chicken bone! This is how we learn right, by testing and sharing info. It takes a village to hack a 10v correctly
