Noob here, so apologies if I'm asking something that's been answered before:
Accidentally updated my mini 1011 the other day.
Followed instructions from Meklort's Blog
"For those of you wanting to update to 10.6.4 with NBI, please note that there is a slight issues wiht NBI and large /System/Library/Extensions folders, the 10.6.4 undate increates this folder above the threshold, and so NBI is unable to regenerate the Extensions.mkext correctly. If you do update, please boot with recovery=y and run the fixed up version below
Did as told and booted up with recovery=y and ran new NBI, restarted and kernel panic still there. Now recovery boot not working at all.
Completely new to this and to be honest I don't know what the F I'm doing really so I would be very grateful, if one of you does know how i can sort this, could you please word it so an idiot like me might understand .
Thanks a million in advance

Good news: 10.6.4 works!
Bad news: Windows 7 partition "disappeared". Can you please help me figure out how to get it back? Detailed notes below:
Using the new NBI from here (version 2020100616212351), I was able to install the 10.6.4 combo update after a clean install of 10.6 and everything worked fine.
Then, I tried adding a Windows 7 partition following these instructions. Everything worked fine, until step 24.
Step 24 tells me to run netbookinstaller.
I accidentally ran the old version (0.8.4 RC1, not 2020100616212351). That resulted in a black screen with a flashing curser in the upper left, but never making it to the "choose a partition to boot from screen (with gray background and Mac Hard Drive Icons)".
Realizing my mistake, I plugged in my USB thumbdrive Mac OSX installer in and hit F12 to choose it. That brings me to the proper "choose a partition to boot from screen (with gray background and Mac Hard Drive Icons)" with three choices to boot from:
1. USB OSX installer
2. Hard drive partition with OSX
3. Hard drive partition with Windows 7
I chose 2. Once OSX from the hard drive partition loads up, I ran the new NBI (version 2020100616212351).
I powered down, pulled out the USB flashdrive, then powered back up.
It now goes to the "choose a partition to boot from screen (with gray background and Mac Hard Drive Icons)", but the only icon is the Mac OSX partition which it then boots into automatically.
When I look at Disk Utility, I see the Windows partition is still there, but it's no longer loading at the "choose a partition to boot from screen (with gray background and Mac Hard Drive Icons)".
Any ideas how I can get the Windows 7 partition to appear on the "choose a partition to boot from screen (with gray background and Mac Hard Drive Icons)" again?
